Producer of Dragon Ball FighterZ, Tomoko Hiroki, is entering the EVO tournament as a participant.
In a video uploaded on Bandai Namco's official YouTube channel, Hiroki thanked fans for their support for the acclaim fighting game before announcing her entry into the tournament.
This has stirred a bit of controversy since developers are not allowed to compete but being a producer the rules are a bit more complicated. However, it seems that the fanbase is ecstatic about the news and want to see Hiroki compete but it does raise questions if someone who has had more time to play the game has an unfair advantage.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of 7 games in total being featured in this year's EVO 2018.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is now available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
