Since its launch back in January Monster Hunter World has taken the gaming world by storm. Now Capcom has revealed in a press release that the game has been shipped over 7.5 million units worldwide, passing the previous record holder Resident Evil 5 which had 7.3 million sales.
This number includes both copies shipped to retailers and digital downloads on Xbox Live and PlayStation 4. With the game coming to PC this Fall we can expect that number to only grow. Not to mention that word of mouth has been impressively strong, with gamers encouraging others to purchase the game.
Monster Hunter World is now available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
