The Far Cry series since the second entry has had multiple endings in some installments. Players can choose how they wish to end the game with the choices presented to them, however, some choices were less apparent. For example, in Far Cry 4 players could complete the game by simply waiting for Pagan Min to return during the opening dinner scene. Far Cry 5 also has another way to complete the game and if you want to avoid spoilers stop reading here.
During the opening scene of the game the protagonist, accomplished by a U.S. Marshall, the country sheriff, and some officers head into Hope County to arrest Joseph Seed. They show him the warrant and the player is ordered to arrest Joseph but if you stand there and do nothing the country sheriff will understand your choice and leave the church.
The U.S. Marshall disapproves threatening legal action but the sheriff understands that if you place those cuffs on Seed his entire cult will attack. The scene ends with the county sheriff saying "You put those cuffs on him, none of us get out of here alive."
