Sanity won't be at home in Call Of Cthulhu.

It looks like this year won't go by without a dose of lovecraftian horror in video game form. Cyanide Studio has unveiled a new E3 trailer for its upcoming narrative RPG Call Of Cthulhu. Based on Chaosium's pen & paper RPG, the title is set in 1924 and follows Private Investigator Edward Pierce as he looks into a tragic death on the isolated Darkwater Island, off the shores of Boston. Naturally, not all locals will be fond of an outsider snooping around.

Cults, supernatural creatures and weird science will be at home on the island. As with most things lovecraftian, Edward will tread the thin line between sanity and madness, which isn't all that surprising given the likelihood of bumping into the friendly neighborhood cosmic horror, or some semblance of it at any rate. Call Of Cthulhu is set to release in 2018 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
