Whenever a game is described as "lovecraftian", that usually sets up at least a few expectations of what's to follow. Sanity won't be at home wherever it takes place, people will treat outsiders suspiciously and, chances are there's a thing or ten to scare you. Romanian developer Stuck In Attic plans to shake things up a little with their upcoming project Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure. Described as "a comedy cosmic horror game", Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure will follow three characters in their journey from Darkham to Transylvania.

"Darkham, with its crooked gambrel roofs, dark alleys, and a past shrouded in secrecy, never really was a welcoming place, but nowadays? Kooky cults are popping up everywhere, and that most evil book, the Necronomicon, is spoken of in trembling whispers once more.

Detective Don R. Ketype is on the case to retrieve the mysterious evil tome, but unsuspecting librarian Buzz Kerwan stumbles upon it and accidentally transforms his cat, Kitteh, into a walking, talking abomination. Being humanized? Quite a downgrade."

Gibbous - A Cthulhu Adventure is inspired by classic LucasArts adventure games. You'll find more info on the game's website and can wishlist it on Steam.
