BattleTech Flashpoint Expansion Announced, Releasing This November
BattleTech Flashpoint will bring new 'Mechs, a new biome and more.

Paradox Interactive and Harebrained Schemes have announced that BattleTech will receive its first expansion this November. BattleTech Flashpoint will bring a handful of new additions to the table, including, unsurprisingly, Flashpoints. These are "high-stakes branching short stories, comprised of procedural mercenary missions linked together with new crew conversations, special events, critical choices, and valuable rewards.". Some of them will feature "Consecutive Deployments" which won't allow players to repair their 'Mechs between missions.
Speaking of 'Mechs, three new ones will be part of BattleTech Flashpoint. The Crab brings speed and versatility to the table, the Cyclops can adapt its firepower for multiple ranges while the Hatchetman carries a 'Mech-sized hatchet that's probably not meant for cooking. The expansion will also feature a new tropical beach biome and the "Target Acquisition" encounter which will involve using light and medium 'Mechs to gain control of three territories. No pricing details are currently known, but you can find more about the game on its store page.
