FromSoftware is notorious for their Dark Souls franchise and one element that players have to adapt to is the lack of a pause system. Whether it was Demon's Souls or Bloodborne, this inability to pause has been a staple within the FromSoftware library, until now. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will divert from this system and allow players to pause the action.
First reported by Game Informer, who has the first details on Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, players can freeze the game when you need a breather. This system works since there is no multiplayer in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and has been built from the ground up for single-player purposes.
Many may argue that this system is going against the spirit of FromSoftware's games but I'm sure that the PC community will add a mod into the game to allow for the traditional system. If requested enough FromSoftware may include it as an additional feature for console players.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is set to launch this March 22nd for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
