In addition to coming to Stadia, Destiny 2 has several other changes coming to it. With the next expansion called Shadowkeep, launching the game into its third year but also its shift from Battle.Net to Steam and Stadia and going free-to-play. For the first year at least.

First up, Shadowkeep will have Guardians revisiting the locale moon to find it "twisted, reshaped, and haunted by the trials of our past." The expansion also makes the return of Eris Morn, a vanguard hunter who was the main quest-giver in the original Destiny's The Dark Below expansion.

Along with the Hive threat, the moon has been changed to feature cracks of green light, a new fortress, and old enemies like the phantasms returning.

Next up, Destiny 2 is coming to Stadia this September 17th and will be free to everyone. This version will include the core campaign, Curse of Osiris, and Warmind expansions along with the base competitive and cooperative modes. All other content will be bundled for $40.

Lastly, all exclusive content is going multi-platform with cross-save being promised across all platforms. For now, specifics are not available but this is a massive leap forward for Bungie. As Destiny 2 launch and post-launch content were negatively received for its heavy focus on monetization now it seems developers are trying to convince users to not only try the game but encourage them to stay.

Destiny 2 is now available for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
