Pokemon Sword and Shield has been one of the more controversial releases in the acclaimed series. When in a Famitsu interview with Junichi Masuda, it was explained why Game Freak had to cut the Pokémon roster fans were livid. After it was leaked what Pokemon were cut things got even more heated. Now, Those who got early copies of the game have posted images showing that models from the game have been reused from previous games.
This contradicts Game Freak's statement that the reasoning behind the cuts was to develop more high-quality models. Dataminers have revealed also that popular features such as Player Search System, Dex Nav, Mega Evolution, and more have been removed along with over 100 moves.
These are right now leaks but with the game only days away we'll know if they're true. And if so this won't bold well for Game Freak.
Pokémon Sword and Shield is due to launch on November 15 for Nintendo Switch.
