A New Version of Guacamelee Coming Soon to Consoles

Nominated for numerous awards and earning praise from reviewers and fans alike, Guacamelee! was an immediate 2013 hit and continues to receive applause . An action-platformer, players find themselves in a small Mexican village wherein Juan Aguacate sets out to save the world and rescue the president's daughter. Inspiration behind the beat 'em up comes from traditional Mexican culture and folklore, and it features melee combat, dimension switching and cooperative play.

IGN recently revealed an announcement trailer from the game's developer, DrinkBox, giving viewers a taste of what to expect and announcing that the new edition will be "coming soon." Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition will bundle all previous DLC and will include new levels, boss battles and abilities.

With other editions of Guacamelee! currently available for PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, PC, Mac and Linux, the announcement of Guacamelee: Super Turbo Edition is a breath of fresh air for those of us feeling overlooked.

A digital version, Guacamelee: Super Turbo Edition will release on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and Wii U. We'll keep you posted on further details.
