Age of Empires 4 Developers Confirm no Microtransactions

Age of Empires 4 doesn't have a release date but during a talk with PCGamesN the developers did answer some questions. Like confirming the game will not have microtransactions or in-app purchases.

“The idea of microtransactions in a real-time strategy game isn’t a thing,” said Age of Empires creative director Adam Isgreen at XO19 in London. “DLC, expansions – all of that is things that we’re going to be exploring for Age 4.”

It seems strange that now this has to be confirmed in video games today but fans of the series won't have to worry anymore. With microtransactions being put into some of the biggest franchises Age of Empires 4 won't be one of them.
