Among Us 2 Canceled, Content Moved To First Game
Plans for Among Us 2 will instead be patched into the original Among Us

InnerSloth had been working on Among Us 2 for some time before Among Us’ resurgence on streaming sites. Now that the original game has jumped in popularity, the team has decided to fully cancel Among Us 2 and instead migrate their plans to the original game. This is an effort to not split either the development team or abandon players that are enjoying Among Us. However, InnerSloth warns that the first Among Us has outdated code that will make it a slow and difficult process to add in all of these new features. They may need to dive deep into the core code and rework from the ground up.

Among the initial plans include enhanced servers to take on the continuous load of players, an account system that will include a friendslist, and color blind support for those who see crewmates differently. A fourth map is also in development and is themed after InnerSloth’s other series, Henry Stickman.
