Assassin's Creed Valhalla Reportedly Turned into Standalone Game

Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag started as DLC for Assassin's Creed 3 before becoming its own game. Now a report from Bloomberg states the same is happening for Assassin's Creed Valhalla DLC.

According to the report, this will be a stealth focus game that is smaller than the core Assassin's Creed. Codename Rift the title became its own game in 2021 and was expected to release before Assassin's Creed Infinity, a new Fortnite-like evolving experience. The title is apparently set in Baghdad during the 9th century.

Currently, Ubisoft is not in a positive place due to the sexual harassment allegations and the recent desire to implement NFTs in their games. In addition, Ubisoft's battle royale title Hyper Scape is being shut down, and Rainbow Six Extraction despite average reviews from critics has not been met with positive reception from fans.
