The two best superhero video games to ever release are getting remastered, Batman: Return to Arkham bundles together Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City into one package. WB Games announced today that you can pick up this up on October 18th for PS4 and Xbox One.
Released in 2009 Arkham Asylum met with massive acclaim from fans and critics. Many praising Rocksteady for breaking trend of poor-to-average superhero video games by introducing a magnificent combat system and an original story worthy of the Batman name.
2011 saw the follow-up to Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City. Building on the mechanics that made the first game such as hit Arkham City gave players an open world to explore teeming with sidequests and more villains to defeat. Like the original game Arkham City would receive near-perfect scores.
In conjunction, WB Games has released a side-by-side comparison of the original games and the HD remake versions. From someone who's played both of these games the updated versions look extraordinary.
Batman: Return to Arkham will come with every piece of DLC offered in the original games. If you never played either one of these Batman titles now is the time. The Batman Arkham series redefined the superhero video game stereotype and gave gamers hope that good superhero video games can be made without requiring a movie tie-in.
