Battlefleet Gothic: Armada was a great take on Warhammer 40k space battles. I have vivid memories of Orks proving their tactical prowess by ramming the piles of junk they call ships into my Imperial cruisers. After a period of silence from both developer and publisher, Focus Home Interactive have just announced that Battlefleet Gothic: Armada II will be out this year. Tindalos Interactive are developing it, which might just justify the silence, and we're looking at a full-blown sequel.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada II will feature all 12 factions from the tabletop game and its Armada expansion. This means, we'll get to play as the Imperial Navy, Space Marines, Adeptus Mechanicus, Necrons, Chaos, Aeldari Corsairs, Aeldari Craftworld, Drukhari, the T’au Merchant and Protector Fleets, Orks, and finally, the Tyranids. "Several, dynamic campaigns" were also promised with the Gathering Storm and the 13th Black Crusade as background. Bigger battles, refined gameplay and improved multiplayer are also said to be included. The game will be presented to press on February 7-8, in Paris, during Focus Home Interactive's yearly "What's Next de Focus" event. In the meantime, a reveal trailer is available. Have a look at the announcement. Battlefleet Gothic: Armada II is set to release on PC in 2018
