After the remastered version of Days Gone is out, players can go back to the post-apocalyptic world that hooked them in 2019. This new version has better graphics and makes the game easier to play on PS5 and PS5 Pro. It has sparked a heated debate in the gaming community: Where is Days Gone 2?

Despite a rough start, Days Gone was able to build a strong fan base and achieve impressive sales numbers that were on par with or even exceeded those of PlayStation giants like Horizon Zero Dawn. Days Gone is different from its first-party competitors in that it has only been released once. Another movie is not being planned, which continues to puzzle fans and industry professionals alike.

Bend Studio, the studio behind the cult hit Days Gone, appears to have quietly put several unannounced projects on hold. This news has people wondering about the studio's plans. The news doesn't come from a PlayStation blog or announcement; it comes from the LinkedIn profile of a game designer who worked at Bend Studio for almost nine years.

The developer's experience summary states that they worked on "multiple cancelled and unannounced projects," which included creating open-world missions and events, developing prototypes of puzzle systems, and collaborating with animators and programmers on player movement and cinematic sequences. To put it another way, Sony Bend has been busy, but not in ways that are immediately apparent to the public.

The company, best known for the open-world zombie survival game Days Gone, has been largely out of the spotlight since the game's release. Fans have been begging for a sequel, but the company hasn't said anything. Now that it's been reported that several projects were shelved before they were even announced, people are wondering what Sony Bend is really working on. And even more importantly, when will it happen this decade?

Some believe that Sony Bend's next game may not be released until the early 2030s, as the PlayStation 5 is nearing the midpoint of its lifecycle and the PlayStation 6 is on the horizon. That means the studio's next big game might not come out until the middle to late PS6 era. That would be ten years after Days Gone.

There is also new hope and heartbreak for Days Gone 2 among fans. Although critics had mixed feelings about the first game, it sold a substantial number of copies and garnered a large number of dedicated fans. Many people believe that there is a significant chance for a sequel, especially if the studio can improve the first game's pace and technical polish.

That being said, there is a problem. Many of the original developers of Days Gone are reportedly no longer working for the studio. This raises questions about whether a sequel could capture the spirit and tone of the original game.

There's also the chance that Bend will be turned into a support studio, which is something PlayStation has done before with teams that weren't doing well. There's no proof that this is happening yet, but Sony's strategy with its studios is becoming increasingly aggressive, which has made many fans and industry followers nervous.

Many projects have never been finished, so Bend Studio needs to make something important soon. The clock is ticking, and in a competitive and heavily consolidated gaming market, being out of the spotlight for an extended period could have adverse effects.

Currently, everyone is watching Sony's Bend Studio and waiting. The next game they make could be their most important one yet, whether it's a follow-up to Days Gone or a completely new idea.
