BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Confirmed For June Release, 20 DLC Characters Coming
BlazBlue may of opened a can of worms
News by Grayshadow on Jan 13, 2018
Today Arc System Works confirmed that BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle will release this June with post-release content featuring 20 characters across several DLC packs. As you might imagine the fanbase isn't excited about the post-launch DLC.
20 characters are confirmed for the post-launch period with 20 characters coming to the game at launch, this means 50% of the roster will be locked behind a paywall. The future content is labeled as DLC Character All-in-One, DLC Character Pack Set Vol. 1-6, DLC Character Blake Belladonna from Rooster Teeth's RWBY, and DLC Character ???.
On Gamatsu, where the story broke, many of the commenters have stated that some of the characters were playable in previous games are now confirmed as DLC.
Fans of RWBY also pointed out that Ruby and Weiss are available in the core game and wonder why Arc System Works would release Blake, who is part of Team RWBY, as DLC instead of part of the main game. As of now Yang, the final member of Team RWBY, hasn't been confirmed but it's likely she'll be part of one of the upcoming DLC packs which will no doubt cause more issues.
Are you planning to purchase BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle when it launches or wait for all the character release in one complete package? Let us know in the comments below.
