Diablo will be featured on the convention's Mythic stage.

Blizzcon 2018 starts early next month and the schedule on the convention’s website reveals that the Diablo front won’t be anywhere as silent as last year. A “Diablo: What’s Next” panel is scheduled right after the opening ceremony on Nov. 2. Last year’s Blizzcon saw World Of Warcraft taking that spot and it was when Blizzard delved deeper into Battle For Azeroth after announcing both it and WoW Classic during the opening ceremony.

We already know that the Diablo Eternal Collection is set to release on the Nintendo Switch on Nov. 2nd. We also know for a fact that “multiple Diablo projects” are currently being worked on, so it would be quite surprising if the entire 45 minute panel was dedicated to just the Switch version of Diablo III. Furthermore, Sunday, Nov. 4 also has a “Diablo: World and Q&A” event scheduled.

Diablo III sold more than 3.5 million copies in the first 24 hours after release back in 2012. Its only major expansion, Reaper Of Souls, addressed a good amount of the issues people had with the base title while adding a fifth act and the Crusader class. The latest content offering for Diablo 3 came in the shape of the Rise Of The Necromancer DLC which added the much-requested Necromancer class.

Starting with patch 2.1, Seasons have fueled Diablo III’s late game through to present day, offering periodic fresh starts and exclusive content. It has, nonetheless been six years since Diablo 3 released, which may very well mean that we’ll hear about either a new DLC  or expansion, spin-off or, perhaps, Diablo 4 itself.

Diablo 3 is currently available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC.
