Borderlands 3 Sells 5 Million Copies in 5 Days

Borderlands 3 has had a large share of negative reception leading to its launch. However, the game received majority popular reception after launch. With a large about of criticism centered on the primary antagonists and technical issues.

Now, 2K Games and Gearbox Software has confirmed that Borderlands 3 has reached 5 million sales in 5 days.

The press release states that  Borderlands 3 is the fasting selling title in 2K history and has put the franchise above the $1 billion Net Bookings mark.

This isn't that surprising considering fans have been asking for this game since Borderlands 2 and the series, despite being surrounded by negative news most of the time, was marketed heavily through special events.

Borderlands 3 is now available for PC on the Epic Games Store, Xbox One, and PS4. We reviewed Borderlands 3 and said "Borderlands 3 may not be the best game in the series, in spite of its improvements, but did nonetheless manage to keep me glued to the screen thanks to its satisfying slaughter and mayhem."
