Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Announced

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 2 are coming to Xbox One and PS4. Gearbox Software made the announcement today stating that both titles will be coming to next-generation consoles in one package called Borderlands: The Handsome Collection.

“We’re excited to offer fans The Handsome Collection as it bundles the complete story of the franchise’s most iconic villain, Handsome Jack, and all in stunning high definition, with high performance and graphical fidelity never before seen on consoles!” 

Those who already own a copy of either games on the PS3, PS Vita or Xbox 360 can transfer their character to the next-generation version of the game. Of course this is limited to the same console family. 

The list of additions doesn’t end with Gearbox announcing four-player local split screen and all the downloadable content for both games.

Those wanting to upgrade to the Handsome Collection to the Claptrap-in-a-Box Edition will get a remote controlledClaptrap steward robot. Based on the notoriously robot from the Borderlands franchise this remote control robot can becontrolled using the ClaptrApp on your Android or iOS device, has a working camera that streams to your phone and shouts voice samples from Claptrap’s most “iconic lines that can be activated on command”. Only 5,000 of these will be made and will also include 12 exclusive Vault Hunter lithographs and a collectible steel case, all for $399.99.

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will launch on March 14, 2015 on Xbox One and PS4 and March 27 internationally.
