Since its delay, we haven't heard much about Crackdown 3.  When talking to GameIndustry.Biz Paul Porter of Sumo Digital explained that Sumo Digital isn't used to being in the spotlight.

According to Porter, Sumo Digital is "not used to being the ones shouting about it" as they were originally known for working the background. But after becoming a major developer of titles such as Snake Pass, Crackdown 3, Team Sonic Racing, and Dead Island 2 people have directly asking them for updates.

Sumo Digital is aware that many are expecting great things for Crackdown 3 but had to delay the game to ensure a quality product.

“…As you know the release date’s moved back, confirmed as February next year, and that’s great news because it gives us the time to polish a game that’s pretty much done, but make it better and better. The way to make the best games is you finish them, then finish them again, and then finish them again. That’s what we’re doing with Crackdown 3.”

The recent worries about Crackdown 3 are not without merit. The cancellation of Scalebound has had many Xbox One fans on edge.

Crackdown 3 is set for a February 2019 release on Xbox One and PC.
