As of yesterday, Darwin Project has gone free-to-play on Xbox One. Similarly to how PC owners were treated when the Steam version went free-to-play back in April, those who've purchased the title on Xbox One should have received a Founder's Pack containing 2 legendary sets, 3 legendary axes, 3 legendary bows and a jumpsuit collection. Furthermore, those eligibile for a Founder's Pack were also given 10 Fan Gifts containing more cosmetic items, which otherwise act as levelling up rewards.

Both PC and Xbox One versions have recently received localization support for 8 additional languages, namely French, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Russian, Japanese, and Korean. Brazilian Portuguese, Thai and Turkish are also on their way. Until July 12th, players can obtained soccer-themed cosmetic items to celebrate the ongoign World Cup. These can be found in Fan Gifts or purchased from the Item Shop in exchange for Ramen. Since its launch, Darwin Project has surpassed 1.4 million downloads.
