Destiny Expansion and Sequel Planned

Looks like Destiny isn’t over, one large content update is set to drop this year.

Today in the publisher’s fiscal report not only reported on a large expansion for the original game but revealed Destiny 2 is coming out in 2017. The expansion that’s currently slated will arrive this year, specially in the Spring.

“That content release will feature  significant Light increase, a bunch of new gear to earn and equip, and new challenges for PvE players seeking some more fun experiences and replayability.”

“Beyond that, the team is focused on delivering a large expansion later this year, and a full Destiny sequel in 2017.”

It’s likely if the next game in the franchise is releasing new year perhaps this expansion will be the bridge that connects Destiny to Destiny’s sequel. Perhaps we’ve hear more in the coming weeks.
