Diablo III Patch 2.3.0 Adds a Tribute

Back in October 17, 2014 Blizzard artist Kevin Kanai Griffith, who worked on Warcraft franchise and Diablo, passed away from Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma. In Patch 2.3.0. for Diablo III the company honours him by including introducing the Kanai’s Cube.

Derived from the Horadric Cube from Diablo II Blizzard has stated that this will not only add another later of “character power at your fingertips” but will introduce “a structured collection element to the huge item game at the core of Diablo III”.

Players can use the cube to extract a Legendary power from an item, adding power to your collection list and adding that Legendary power to your character without having the item equipped. Players can equip one power from weapons, armor and jewelry but only powers from their class can use these powers.
