DLC for Dying Light Still in Development
More DLC coming to Dying Light

Techland has been promoting Dying Light 2 for some time but the studio isn't done with the original game. Not only did Techland launch a free-to-play battle royale mode but apparently the studio is working on new DLC.
In a new Gamesindustry.biz interview, Tymon Smektala, Lead Designer at Techland, said a small team at the developer is still making DLC for the original game.
“We supported the game for two reasons,” said Smeltala. “The first is that we believe in our community, and we really believe they will be the most essential part for us getting the word out about Dying Light 2. The other thing is that supporting a game like Dying Light for such a long time allows us to be slightly more crazy, and slightly more creative with some things, and also test some ideas and gameplay elements that we’re not sure about.”
The content is attracting more customers as during the interview it was confirmed that more copies of Dying Light were sold each year following the game's release. This could be because the game was discounted and that more people were attracted to the title after promotion for Dying Light 2 was shown or those who tried the free-to-play battle royale mode decided to purchase the full game. Either way, it's a great game.
I had the chance to see Dying Light 2 at E3 2019 and was impressed with the game's layered narrative. Which offered multiple ways to alter the story. The gameplay still had that rush of combat and exploration as you parkour throughout the city.
Dying Light 2 is set for a 2020 release for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Dying Light is now available on the same platforms.
