DOOM Alpha Starts this Weekend

Those who purchased Wolfenstein: The New Order should start checking their email this weekend, id Software has revealed that the DOOM Alpha will start this weekend.

To qualify for this closed beta users must have purchased Wolfenstein: The New Order before May 26, 2014 and signed up using the code packaged with the game. If you meet the requirements you’ll get to play the DOOM Alpha.

This is a technical test so don’t expect a lot of content. You can enjoy six standard weapons and one power weapon, as well as the 6v6 map Heatwave in Deathmatch. Those lucky enough to grab a Demon Rune during a match can get to play as the Revenant demon, the one with rocket launchers and a jetpack.

DOOM is set to release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2016.
