EA Unsure When Star Wars Battlefront 3 Will Release

Recently, EA confirmed that Respawn Entertainment's Star Wars game would release in 2020 but when the next Star Wars Battlefront game will release is unknown.

During a financial call, EA's chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen revealed that the company is unsure when Star Wars Battlefront 3 will release. The game has followed a 2-year cycle, releasing around the same time as a Star Wars film, 

“We haven’t decided exactly timing for another Battlefront yet but clearly the next big Star Wars game would be the action game in fiscal 2020,” said Jorgensen.

In the call, EA did reveal that sales figures for Star Wars Battlefront 2 were lower than expected. Considering the massive backlash the company has been facing in the last year fan support has been dropping.

Microtransactions will be returning to the game in a few months, with the publisher doubling down on the service business model. 

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
