Epic Games and LEGO aim to create a safe space for kids within the metaverse, and we hope for the best.

Two of the most well-known brands of all time, LEGO and Epic Games, have seemed to unite their forces. It is not unknown that big brands join their powers together, but what will be the outcome of this decision? Well, reportedly, there will be a “family friendly digital experience” that will offer “amazing play opportunities”. This cryptic message means that they will “build a place for kids to play in the metaverse”, and we hope this is true.
There are a lot of places for kids on the internet these days and a lack of intact security to keep them from the harm that comes with being online. Many people complain about the lack of security in Roblox and Fortnite, for instance, but LEGO and Epic promise that this will not be the case within their space. “Just as we’ve protected children’s rights to safe physical play for generations, we are committed to doing the same for digital play,” promises the CEO of the LEGO Group, Niels B. Christiansen, and we have no option but to believe him.
While many people believe that this is just going to be another Roblox, a certain number of people choose to embrace this new direction and hope for the best. Meta-verse itself is a source of speculation anyway, so we’ll see where this decision will lead us in the future.
