Fans Bring Back Battlefield 2142

After being taken down in 2014 EA fans of the game have revived the long-dead Battlefield 2142.

According to the Revive website, the community responsible for the project, players have already taken advantage of the free server. Battlefield 2142 was one of many games that EA shut down online support. It's unclear whether EA will respond to the situation positively or negativity, but given the company's positive support for the Battlefield community through the Road to Battlefield promotion perhaps they'll let this slide. After all, they're not Nintendo.

Battlefield 1, the next installment in the Battlefield franchise, launches on October 21st for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
