It's almost time to go. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, a beautiful new take on the original 1997 game, will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 this winter. Right, clouds aren't the only ones coming in. Cloud Strife and his friends are also coming.

My Nintendo News recently reported that the Final Fantasy team confirmed that Intergrade will release on Nintendo's new hardware around the same time as the Xbox Series X|S version, which was just announced. It is said that Square Enix, who never misses a chance, plans to release the whole trilogy on all three platforms.

That means that along with Remake, Rebirth, and the third game that hasn't been named yet, the next Final Fantasy game will be coming out soon. Fans can start daydreaming about carrying the whole saga around with them, even though there isn't a set date for when the last chapter will be released.

Let's talk about when. In game terms, "winter" is as slippery as a Midgar sewer. It could really mean any time between December 2025 and March 2026. But the smart money is on a drop in early December.

Also, don't forget how beautiful Intergrade is. Fans of Nintendo will be very excited to see how well it runs on the Nintendo Switch 2's better hardware. It's one of the series' most beautifully designed games. This could be the best handheld Final Fantasy experience, whether you've played it before or this is your first time.

What about Rebirth? There's still no word on Switch 2, but don't give up hope. Since Square Enix wants to release three games at the same time, it's likely that Rebirth will follow Intergrade's lead. An announcement could come before the end of the year. There might even be hints about that hard-to-find third title.

To put it simply, Square Enix is here to deliver if you've been waiting for the Switch 2 to get a great collection of JRPGs. The Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is coming out this winter. Keep an eye out for what might be the biggest cross-platform trilogy port yet.
