Final Fantasy XIV Reaches 16 Million Total Registered Users, Currently Has Highest Active Subscribers

Shadowbringers is the next huge expansion for Final Fantasy XIV. With Shadowbringer bringing 2 new jobs and 2 new playable races. But before the expansion goes live next month it was revealed the game has had 16 million registered players and the highest player count since launching 6 years ago.

To celebrate, Square Enix revealed the trailer for the upcoming expansion. We get a look at the new characters, enemies, and dungeons players will explore. With players, able to recognized some notorious figures from the Final Fantasy universe.

Shadowbringers launches on July 2nd.
