First Episode of The Last of Us Part II Inside the Story Explores How Naughty Dog Created the Narrative

Today, Sony and Naughty Dog released the first of a 4-part video series called The Last of Us Part II - Inside the Story exploring the game's story and how the team constructed it.

The video shows director Neil Druckmann and various team members explaining why they made a sequel, the difficulty of building on the previous game, and even some story information. Such as Ellie's age being 19, her living status, and taking place 25 years after the outbreak.

Most importantly Neil Druckmann does address the negative reception behind the game following the leaks in a subtle way. Telling the viewer that this game will be more divisive. 

The video schedule is as follow. With gameplay coming next, followed by details, and ending with the world.

20th May: Inside the Gameplay

27th May: Inside the Details

3rd June: Inside the World

Naughty Dog's The Last of Us Part II has come under fire after a massive leak that exposed critical parts of the story. Sony has taken steps to try and suppress this information but the damage has been done. With trailers having comments disabled, tweets being removed,  and even copyright claims being implemented to prevent the spread of the leaks. To which have been taken as fact due to the aggressive nature of these actions.

The Last of Us: Part II launches on July 19th for PS4.
