GTA Online and Red Dead Online Saw Huge Player Boost in 2020

Both GTA Online and Red Dead Online made record player base numbers last year, according to a recent blog post from Rockstar.

Despite its 2013 release date, GTA Online continues to grow. It saw more players last year than any other year.

Red Dead Online has recently gone standalone and saw its biggest growth in the player base last December.

Rockstar also comments that both GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 broke records for video views last year.

The company thanked players for their continued support and concluded the post by offering "special gifts".

"we’re currently extending a special bundle of gifts to recent Red Dead Online players that includes a free Horse, free Stable Slot, 5,000 Club XP, and more. In GTA Online, jump in and play until February 12th to unlock a few unique pieces of in-game apparel — the Rockstar Cap and Rockstar Rolling Tee, both of which will be delivered to your wardrobe next week. Gifts will arrive within 72 hours after logging in on February 16th."

GTA Online and Red Dead Online are currently available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X & S, Xbox One, and PC. RDO is also available on Google Stadia.
