Halo: Spartan Strike is set during the events of Halo 2 on New Mombasa in 2552, during the Elite and Brute War.

Those who own a copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Halo: Spartan Assault can unlock an exclusive emblem, namely and avatar by competing for the a top spot in the leaderboard or earning Achievements.
