Haruki Satomi is now the new CEO for SEGA Sammy holdings.
Haruki Satomi will take over from his farther Hajime Satomi. He was previously COO (chief operating officer) and president of the organisation, and has been the chief executive of SEGA since 2015.
Hajime Satomi will remain at the company, continuing his role as chairman and representative director.
SEGA Sammy was formed in 2004 as a meging of SEGA and Sammy, with Hajime Satomi founding Sammy in 1975 as a manufacturer of arcade machines.
As with many companies, both small and large, SEGA Sammy have faced uncertain times during the COVID 19 pandemic: there have been hundreds of redundancies due to the affect of lockdown on the arcades.
Now is certainly a time for strong leadership.
