During today's Capcom Showcase event, Capcom presented a comprehensive look into the enticing roster of their forthcoming games. The beginning of the digital broadcast consisted of a glimpse at the difficulties that would be given to players in the soon-to-be-released version of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak on June 30, 2022.
The show also featured several exciting new additions to the world of Resident Evil, such as the Resident Evil Village Gold Edition and its Winters' Expansion, as well as the unexpected release of three enhanced versions of previous Resident Evil games and an extended look at the recently announced Resident Evil 4. Next, with the release of the latest dinosaur prediction, players will have the opportunity to participate in the Exoprimal Closed Network Test the following month.
Additionally, a series of spotlights for highly anticipated Capcom games, such as Street FighterTM 6, Capcom Fighting Collection, and Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium, were shown to the audience throughout the event.
Let's take an in-depth look at the announcements.
Resident Evil:
Those waiting patiently for Resident Evil Village's long-awaited DLC got their first look at it. The Winters' Expansion is scheduled to become available on all platforms on October 28, 2022. The additional material for the game includes a Third-Person Mode for the campaign, The Mercenaries Additional Orders with new levels and playable characters Chris Redfield, Heisenberg, and Lady Dimitrescu, and a continuation of the plot in Shadows of Rose.
This new story takes place 16 years after the events of Resident Evil Village. It focuses on Rose Winters, the daughter of the main protagonist Ethan, as she battles the horrific abilities inherited from her father. To find a remedy for their condition, players must navigate and make it through a twisted and enigmatic world inside the Megamycete's mind. The Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, which includes the main game and the Winters' Expansion, will also be released on October 28, 2022.
This edition will be available in digital and physical forms for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam, and Stadia. On the same day, the online component of Resident Evil Re: Verse, a multiplayer experience that will be free to players of Resident Evil Village, will go live. Tsuyoshi Kanda, the producer of Resident Evil Village, also revealed that the game's primary narrative is now being developed for the PlayStation®VR2 and Mac platforms.
Resident Evil 4 fans are in for a treat, as the game's director Yasuhiro Ampo and producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi spoke about the game's contemporary recreation of the iconic 2005 game. When the action-packed survival horror game is reawakened on March 24, 2023, the production team's goal is to ramp up the original release's main sentiments of loneliness and the terror of foes blinded by zealotry.
Meanwhile, gamers may dig their teeth into three updated versions of the Resident Evil series. Biohazard reanimates Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 7 today for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with support for 4K resolution, ray tracing, high frame rates, and 3D audio. These cutting-edge features provide an experience that is richer in color, more fluid, and more immersive.
Additionally, the PlayStation 5 has support for DualSense haptic feedback and adjustable triggers. Players who own a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One may use the digital upgrade program and Smart Delivery to update their systems at no extra cost. Today also sees the release of fixes for all three games' PC versions.
Exoprimal:
Next month, players will get their first chance to defend themselves against onslaughts of dinosaurs in Exoprimal, a fresh new intellectual property developed by Capcom. Registration for the closed network test that will take place on Steam for PC in July and apply to be one of the first Exofighters to check out this cooperative action game before it is released in 2023.
Exoprimal Director Takuro Hiraoka gave a presentation on the dynamic primary game mode, Dino Survival, to prepare players before they put on mechanized battle armor and enter the war. This was done to train players. In this online multiplayer game, two teams of five Exofighters compete against one another to fulfill commands given by Leviathan. This malevolent computer intelligence is responsible for the breakouts of dinosaurs. To win, remain alive, and keep looking for a means to flee Leviathan's deadly games, teams must accomplish assignments before their competitors.
A new teaser provided a sneak peek at a few of the activities available in Dino Survival. These include VTOL Defense, in which units protect downed aircraft against onslaughts by dinosaurs, and Omega Charge, in which Exofighters will wield a giant hammer to smash targets. Both of these are examples of new game modes.
In addition, the video revealed two brand new Assault class Exosuits packed to the gills with various weapons. Barrage, a blazing bombardier, and Vigilant, a rail gun-wielding sniper, are the most recent additions to an expanding arsenal of futuristic suits that teams may switch between on the fly to better coordinate their efforts and defeat any obstacle.
There are many situations in which players go up against hordes of dinosaurs. There are other situations in which players go up directly against opposing squads. There are even some situations where opposing teams must band together to take down familiar foes, such as the twisted Neo Tyrannosaurus.
Monster Hunter Rise:
Monster Hunter series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto kicked off the Capcom Showcase by presenting a brand new trailer for the monster hunting video game Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. The video showcased the reimagining of the Jungle location from the second generation of Monster Hunter games, the return of Espinas the Thorn Wyvern from Monster Hunter Frontier, and the furious approach of Gore Magala, the signature monster from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will have a free demo available on Nintendo SwitchTM and Steam soon after 3:00 BST /04:00 CEST on June 14, 2022. Players will be able to get an early taste of the game's action during this time. Pre-orders of the digital version are now available on both platforms, and they come with a Palamute and Palico layered armor set as a free bonus item.

In addition, further content for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is scheduled to be released this autumn, over the winter, and into the following year.
Dragon's Dogma:
