Killer Instinct: Season 2 Ultra Edition Starts October 15

Killer Instinct’s second season will launch on October 15. The second season of the popular Xbox One launch title will add eight new fighters, game modes, and a revamped interface.

Killer Instinct: Season 2 Ultra Edition will include eight new fighters starting with TJ Combo and Maya. One new character will become available each month following October 15. Season two will also offer new costumes, accessory packs, and Killer Instinct 2: Classic. 

Currently Iron Galaxy and Microsoft plan to release a retail version of Killer Instinct called “Killer Instinct: Combo Breaker Pack” for $19.99 that will include all eight fighters from season 1. The retail version will also come bundled with a code for TJ Combo from season two. 

Killer Instinct will remain a free-to-play title but those looking to upgrade to the The Ultra Edition will have to pay $40.
