Max Payne 3 Title Update Now Available

A title update is now available for Max Payne 3 on PS3 and Xbox 360. The update includes numerous fixes and adjustments including:

 

• The Multiplayer card which lets you and your friends track multiplayer stats (current amount of XP, total kills, favorite weapon, etc)
• Automated cheat and lag protection
• Enhanced multiplayer load times
• Ability to spawn with dual wield (with two sidearms and no two-handed weapon equipped)
• Polish language support
• When backing out of a match party leader can take entire party with them
• In the arsenal weapon rank is now visible on the left side of the screen (not just the right)
• Crew menu is available inside lobbies
• XP for completing grinds does not contribute to rankings in Gang Wars matches
• Spectator camera enhancements in Gang Wars
• Improvement of Wager system in Gang Wars

 

An update well overdue 

 

As you can see, the majority of the update includes many fixes to issues that should have been resolved by now. If you view the comments below the news article on Rockstar's website you can see that not too many fans are happy about the update. As a matter of fact, not too many Max Payne fans seem very happy about the game itself.

On a more positive note, the update will include Payne Thresholds; enabling players to earn bonus XP through accomplishments in multiplayer matches. XP can only be gained by crossing the first three of four thresholds (bronze, silver, gold, and platinum).
