Miitomo Out Now in North America and Europe

Nintendo's social networking application, Miitomo, launches today in both North American and Europe for Android and iOS devices.

Miitomo launched two weeks ago in Japan and reached one million downloads in just three days. Nintendo plans to release Miitomo in 39 countries by the end of April.

Miitomo is a free-to-play social experience designed around Nintendo's Mii avatars. Players create a Mii with clothes and other virtual items and interact with friends on the My Nintendo network with a Questions and Answers mode. Users can find their friends on Facebook and Twitter by linking Miitomo to their accounts.

Also releasing today is Nintendo's new virtual store that allows gamers to purchase games for download on their Wii U and 3DS. On much darker news Nintendo has confirmed that the DSi store will closed on March 31, 2017. For more on that story click here.
