In the Xbox One Edition of Minecraft players will be able to explore worlds 36 times bigger than the Xbox 360 version. The Xbox One edition will also support four player local cooperative split-screen and eight player online cooperative over Xbox Live.

Minecraft was first announced for the Xbox One during Microsoft's E3 press conference in 2013. Back in March Microsoft's Phil Spencer explained that the game was releasing soon but was pushed back by 4J Studios, the studio responsible for porting the game to the Xbox One.

Minecraft has been an incredible success for developer Mojang, selling over 54 million copies since June.
