Warhammer 40000: Inquisitor - Martyr has been in Early Access since the end of August. As part of the developer's roadmap, an update was planned for November however, as time passed it didn't show up. NeocoreGames Producer Zoltán Pozsonyi discussed today, in a post on the NeocoreGames website, why this was the case saying "We have miscalculated the scope of the work we began in October." By the looks of it, work began simultaneously on "three huge developments" which are now only about 80% complete. The silver lining to this is that the next content update for the game will arrive on January 10th "even if the whole company has to spend Christmas and New Year's Eve in the office."
The post then goes on detailing what to expect in the future. Firstly, there's the Psyker class which will shake things up a bit, as its abilities aren't tied to the weapons wielded. The mission system and journal were completely rebuilt, while a new system for gathering and assessing clues was added. The progression system has undergone some redesigning and daily quests were replaced by Grand Investigations, which are connected missions with their own plotlines, separate from the main campaign. You can have a look at the full post for all the details. Warhammer 40000: Inquisitor - Martyr is available now on Early Access for the price of 49,99€ or your regional equivalent.
