Another Lighthouse?

Back in 2016, Take-Two released BioShock: The Collection. A remastered version of BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite. Now it seems a new game is in the works.

Mafia III pushed the boundaries of video game storytelling, and left people wondering what the developers at Hangar 13 would do next. But for the past year, they've struggled, scrapping ideas for Mafia IV and a promising spy game. Now, who knows? My story: https://t.co/AzNQVoM2FF

According to Kotaku's Jason Schreier when interviewing developers at Hangar 13, the developers behind Mafia III, for a story an unnamed studio was working on a new installment in the BioShock franchise codenamed "Parkside". According to Schreier, the game is in early stages and not ready.
Among other details I learned while reporting this story: Right next to Hangar 13, a top-secret 2K studio is now working on a top-secret new BioShock game.

Since the project is being developed by an unnamed studio and in early access it's unlikely we'll hear more at E3. However, considering the game's story it's hard to see where the franchise will go. BioShock and BioShock Infinite concluded with a solid ending for the series while BioShock 2 was loosely connected to the core series and wasn't developed by Irrational Games who led the project since its debut.
