New Pixar Starpath Coming To Disney's Dreamlight Valley

Disney's Dreamlight Valley was an absolute hit with both old and new and gave them a chance to play alongside their favorite Disney characters. Now it wouldn't be Disney if it didn't include Pixar and players will now have a chance to gain brand new cosmetics inspired by the many wonderful characters from the Pixar movies in the game's new Wonder of Pixar Starpath.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the game, Disney's Dreamlight Valley is a live-service game that takes inspiration from farming sims such as Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing. Much like others of the genre, the game includes a battle-pass in the form of Starpaths. Players will be given a limited time to complete certain challenges if they want to get exclusive content. If you're interested in playing Disney's Dreamlight Valley, you will be happy to know, much like other live-service titles, that the game will soon be free-to-play.

 

As mentioned earlier, the game has been a huge success and fans have eagerly spent hours upon hours playing the game. However, unlike other live-service titles, instead of receiving multiple expansions in the form of paid DLC, players instead have to just pay a fixed price for a Starpath and just have to complete all the necessary duties required to unlock the content found exclusively in that given Starpath. Most of the time, these items are purely cosmetic.

This type of content addition isn't anything new or revolutionary and we have seen it in other games such as Fortnite, though it would also seem that players prefer this over traditional DLC expansions. It also acts as a way to increase a games lifespan and is rumored to be how EA intends on handling the monetization route for The Sims 5, who's previous entry requires players to pay $1000 to get all the DLC content available for the game.

This new Starpath has been highly anticipated by Dreamlight Valley players for quite some time and it would seem that the wait has finally paid off as players will have a chance to participate in the event starting from 5 June 2023. In the new Wonder of Pixar Starpath, players will be able to obtain cosmetics inspired by Buzz Lightyear, Finding Nemo, Inside Out and multiple outfits inspired by Turning Red, including an adorable Red Panda Onesie.

Despite all the hype surrounding this Starpath, many players are more excited about the game's elusive Update 5. The developers have kept things very hush-hush with regards to the update, but many believe that we will learn more about it sometime in June.
