Nintendo Takes the Award for Best Selling Console for June 2018 Thanks to the NES Classic

Nintendo dominated the console sales last June 2018, not because of the Nintendo Switch but the NES Classic.

Retail analyst NPD Group released, and reported by Kotaku, an industry report which tracked the sale of hardware and software sales from June 3rd until July 7th. Sony's PlayStation 4 held the top spot for top dollar sales, seeing that the system cost $400, but the NES Classic sold more units than any other system at $60 a unit.

This isn't surprising considering that the system launched to the incredible popularity when it launched. Demand exceeded supply that Nintendo decided to bring the system back for another run after being discontinued for the SNES Classic.
