Oddworld: Soulstorm Gets New Gameplay

The Oddworld series is one the most acclaimed retro classics within gaming. With numerous titles such as my personal favorite, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, receiving acclaim from fans and critics many were excited that a new installment was in the works. Oddworld: Soulstorm did get a teaser back at GDC 2019 but nothing else, until now. With a new teaser trailer showing off the improved visuals, gameplay, and traditional gameplay found in the classic series.

As a remake, the title will feature much of the same gameplay and takes inspiration from Odd Abe's Exoddus. The graphics have been drastically improved with fluid animations and a much more detailed environment. Fans in the comments have expressed their excitement of having this classic return with modern updates.

For those unaware, Oddworld: Soulstorm takes place after the events of New 'N' Tasty. After saving his friends his people find sanctuary from a drink called Soulstorm Brew. What his people don't know it's made from the bones of his people. Abe must lead another revolution to save his people from another grim fate.
