Overkill Revises Payday 2 Safe System

Overkill has received some backlash following the recent release of microtransactions to their cooperative shooter Payday 2 and is listening to their fans.

Following the recent update safes can now be obtained, but only opened using drills which can only be purchase using actual money. Loot found in this safes were tied exclusive weapons, making them random paid DLC. As you can expect those who purchased the game weren’t happy about this.

Overkill has heard the overwhelming complaints and made adjustments that resolves most of the issues, allowing players to find drills and open safes without the need of purchasing one.

Payday 2 is currently available for Xbox One, PS4 and for free on PC. Xbox 360 and PS3 versions are available but support for these versions have been discontinued.
