Play Evolve For Free This Weekend Only

2K Games and Turtle Rock Studios have announced that Evolve will be available for free this weekend on Xbox One and PC.

Starting September 4 at 12:01am, and ending September 6, Xbox One gamers can play Evolve for free. PC gamers can start playing on September 3 until September 7. Unfortunately PS4 gamers will not be able to take part in the free weekend.

During this session gamers can check out four Monsters and 18 Hunters, its five game modes, and 19 maps. If you decide to purchase the game during the free session this weekend all your progress will carry over, with the exception of DLC characters.

2K revealed a new version of Evolve's iconic Goliath Monster called the Meteor Goliath, which will be available to everyone on September 3. This new version has a new look, effects, audio and gameplay elements. This includes:

- Rock Throw traveling faster and setting enemies on fire
- Leap Smash increased range and lighting enemies on fire
- Fire Breath has increased range and emits blue flames
- Charge can light enemies on fire and has increased duration

Those who purchased Evolve will have access to the entire roster of DLC characters this weekend regardless of platform.
