Pokémon Gold and Silver Getting a Boxed Re-Release in Europe and Japan

Those looking to get the ultimate Pokémon Gold and Silver experience will be glad to hear that boxed version of the classic Game Boy games is coming out, but only for Europe and Japan.

The boxed editions will release on September 22nd and include digital codes for either Pokémon Gold and Silver. This is the original games, not remakes, sporting the same artwork as the original games. In addition, these are digital codes, not physical releases.

Currently, Nintendo hasn't commented on whether other regions would be getting these editions.

Pokémon Gold and Silver launches on the Nintendo eShop September 22nd, 2017.
