Primal Carnage: Extinction Releasing October 20

New competitive game, Primal Carnage: Extinction, details revealed

Last year it was announced that Circle 5 Studios has taken over development of Primal Carnage: Extinction after the original was put on hold. Originally titled Primal Carnage: Genesis was a single-player only game, now it’s a multiplayer title.

The 16 player class-based game will feature the following game modes both online and offline:

Team Deathmatch — Dino vs human team-based multiplayer in battle arenas.

Get to the Chopper — Control key parts of the map in this objective-based game mode, eventually unlocking the escape helicopter and the Tyrant dinosaur, depending on which team you’re on. Players must either stop humans from leaving the area or kill them all.

Survival — Play solo or co-op through wave after wave of AI dinosaurs.

Free Roam — Traveling the environment without kill counts, timers or objectives.

Here’s a list of playable dinosaurs:

Dilophosaurus - Able to blind and slow enemies from a distance

Novaraptor - Fast and deadly, can slash enemies and maul them into the ground.

Pteranodon - Can swoop down and carry off humans.

Carnotaurus - Two-legged cross between a bull and a T-Rex that charges enemies and can regenerate health when attacking enemies,

Tyrannosaurus Rex - King of the Lizards, high-health and almost unstoppable.

And are the human classes:

The Scientist - Can slow down dinosaurs using tranquilizers and sniper enemies from a far.

The Commando - A high health tank that is equipped with an assault rifle and rocket launcher.

The Pathfinder - Powerful short-range shotgun.

The Trapper - Can capture smaller dinos and lock the jaws of the larger ones to make them susceptible to more damage.

The Pyro - Equipped with a flamethrower.

Primal Carnage: Extinction will release on PS4 on October 20 and will support PS Vita Remote Play
