Public beta for PlayStation All-Stars opens up this fall

Superbot Entertianment announced today via the PlayStation Blog that the beta for PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale will be opening up to all this fall. PlayStation Plus subscribes will receive earlier access.
The beta is based off an earlier build, as the only the initial six characters (Sly Cooper, Parappa, Fat Princess, Sweet Tooth, Radec, and Kratos) are playable. That didn't stop a group of players from delving into the beta's code, however, unveiling a litany of fighters and stages yet to be announced.

Among them were: a Bioshock Inifinite stage, and Ratchet (Ratchet and Clank), Sackboy (LittleBigPlanet), Nariko (Heavenly Sword), Sir Daniel Fortesque (MediEvil), Raiden (Metal Gear Solid), Spike (Ape Escape), Dante (DmC: Devil May Cry), and Evil Cole (Infamous) outed as playable characters.
"There was an unexpected and unintended leak in our beta that allowed fans to be able to see some additional content," said Superbot Entertainment president Chan Park."We’ve enjoyed reading all of the fan reaction and are thrilled that so many of you are excited to learn more about our character roster and level mash-ups, however we are still in development and the leaked content does not fully represent the final product nor the incredible efforts that were made to make these elements truly spectacular."
Gamescom is set as the next reveal spot, though it's unclear whether they'll just show what's been leaked or if they'll have something more up their sleeve.
